Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
What is his sentence probably going to be?
Here is my problem: I am 15 and pregnant, my boyfriend just
turned 18 last month and is in jail now awaiting court on
tuesday. The reason for his inprisonment, is that he used my
mom's atm card to withdrawl money from her account without
her permission. Two months ago he took almost 700$ and two
days ago he took 400$ She is prosecuting for this time but
he will most likely be charged for last time too. I was
wondering what his sentence is most likely to be, he
admitted to doing this. What is his sentence most likel

Re: What is his sentence probably going to be?
Thank you for your posting.
A particular sentence is up to the sentencing judge, or if there is a plea bargain, up to the best plea bargain deal offered by the prosecutor or negotiated by your boyfriend's attorney.
Each charge has a minimum and a maximum, and sometimes the attorneys will drop or reduce charges for purposes of a plea bargain. The judge may also have input on the eventual sentence, and so it's almost impossible to give you a firm answer on this without this information.
I hope this helps, and if you want more information or have other questions, please feel free to email me directly at [email protected], and best of luck.
