Sentencing

If I had to explain to someone (IN DETAIL) with examples, the difference between indeterminate and determinate sentencing, how would I go about that?

A determinate sentence is one with a definte period time that will be served before the person will be released. Something like 15 years. An indeterminate sentence is such as 15 to life with the 15 years being the first time a person will be considered for parole. In that case, they may or may not get parole after 15 years. One is definte the other is not.
