Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
Need to know what "set aside" means in California.
Original charge:
Felony - Poss. Marijuana Intent to Sell.
Court documents state:
"Felony set aside"
Number of charges: 1
Count 1 charge: Misdemeanor - maintains any place for the purpose of unlawfully selling, giving away, or using any controlled substance.
So I was not convicted of a felony.
Question what exactly does "felony set aside" mean in california? Does it mean the charge was vacated or thrown out and i was recharged with a new charge?
