Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

My same sex partner and i were drinking and out by a nightclub. we got into an argument and a fight ensued. I was arrested and now have court on friday. will it help or hinder the case if she shows up to court for my support? She did not press charges. And will not press charges.

As a Former Deputy District Attorney, I would NOT advise your partner to be in court. I would recommend you retaining an experienced attorney who knows how to handle a DV case, and let him direct the case. I wish you well... David Wallin
