Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
sexually explicit text messages from a stranger
I received a harassing and degrading
text message from a number I do not
recognize. I went to the sheriff's for
consultation, and not only were they
indifferent, but I felt so
uncomfortable that I failed to file a
report. A few days later I received
another text message, this time it
was an explicit picture of the
pervert's anatomy. His phone
number isn't private, but I'm too
scared to call and confront him.
What should I tell the sheriff on my
second visit?

Re: sexually explicit text messages from a stranger
Show him the picture and tell him that outrageous conduct continues. The picture should grab his attention. If you have not done so already, file an official report.
