Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
I share the same docket number as another person, how does this benefit me if im trying to re open a case to lower offense? thank you

If you have the same case number as another person, then they are a codefendant of yours. That doesn't benefit you at all unless you agree to a deal to testify against the other defendant. It is for this reason that multiple defendant criminal cases always present a conflict of interest, that requires more than one defense attorney.
I don't understand what you mean by reopen a case. That doesn't make any sense at all. Do you mean that you are trying to set aside a conviction after trial, or a conviction after a plea bargain?
