Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
my shoplifting case
I have been arrested for shoplifting/ $200 worth of jewelry, petty theft. This is my second offense within 3 years. I am no longer on any past probation.
What can I expect in court as far as my outcome?

Re: my shoplifting case
Worse case scenario would be felony charges and state prison but, depending on factors such as your overall record, etc, the outcome does not have to be that bad. Expect however that the prosecution will want to punish you, i.e., give you some jail time even if a misdemeanor probationary sentence is to be involved, for the fact that it is your second exact same offense.
