It's not uncommon for the felony to become a misdemeanor at several stages of the criminal proceedings. But each case is different, and no one can predict for you what is likely to happen in your case without knowing a great deal more than you've written. If you'd like to speak with me about this, please don't hesitate to contact me for a free consultation. Good luck. Steve Mandell 310 393 0639

Anything is possible. The odds increase if you have a good attorney.

While anything is possible, whether it is 'likely' is a different question. You were charged with a felony because the police and DA believed the crime was more serious than a 'minor' misdemeanor. However, if you have no prior criminal record, it may be possible for your attorney to negotiate you a plea bargain that includes no jail and only an offenders school, fines, probation and even possibly a deferred judgement that would result in no conviction on your record. If serious about hiring counsel to help in this, and if this is in SoCal courts, feel free to contact me. Ill be happy to help fight and get the best outcome possible
