Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
After something is signed can they change it ?
If the D.A.offered the defendant 14 years & the def. accepted & signed along with the D.A. in front of the judge, can they legally say they made a mistake and change it to 21 years ?

It appears that you are describing a plea bargain agreement. The judge has the right after the probation report is received to determine that the plea bargain is no appropriate. The court then has the option of offering the defendant a choice between accepting a harsher sentence or having the plea set aside and go to trial.
