Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

My sister was accused of child cruelty by her ex-husband. The police came and took her to jail charging her with Pc273 (a). All of these accusations made by her ex-husband are false. What can we do to help my sister out? She is currently working on her legal staus, as she is not a permanent resident of the US yet.

Allegations off child abuse are easy to make, devastating to be accused of and difficult to prove without proof. If these charges are in fact 100% false, then her lawyer should be in a good position to defend her given a proper investigation add vigorous defense.

What can you do? If she doesn't already have one, hire a damn good criminal defense attorney to represent her. Not just any attorney - one that ONLY does criminal cases every day, not just every now and then.
