Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
my sister had her bedroom at her granparents house in Exeter CA for many years. She moved to Washington State and left all her personal posessions in her bedroom because she would spend two months out of the year at her grandparents house.
last year our uncle moved our 89 year old grandparents to his home and took all of my sister's possessions without notifying her or my mother who lives in Orange County CA.
Upon discover my sister has made every effort to recover her possessions and she has been ignored.
Is there any criminal action for our uncles actions?
thank you.

she could try to file a police report ... it may be a long shot though. Leaving "stuff" for 10 months at someone else's house may be looked at as a type of abandonment of property. Suing civilly is a long shot also. That's my opinion anyway ... maybe another attorney has more encouraging outlook. Good luck!
