slander
is there legal recourse for false reports to cps and to
family and others that may effect future custody issues
to myself? there has been no proof or legal actions taken
against me.

To answer your question you can always sue a person or agency. The real question becomes how much money will you receive? In California if you are suing the police or any other governmental agency you must first file a claim within six months of the incident. Failure to file a claim will bar your claim. At the very least you should file a complaint with the police department to at least create a "jacket" for the offending police officers.
