Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

Son was charged with a 211 felony robbery when his crime did not fit the critiria for a 211. His probation officer told him that it would not be charged if he stayed out of trouble when he turned 18. His assigned attorney was contracted by the public defenders office "conflict of interest" said he needed

to appeal but has not sent the appropriate papers that were important as she said she would to file. How do we continue ?

Your story is incomplete. You say that your son was charged, then you say he was told he wouldn't be charged. You say that the assigned attorney had a conflict of interest, but you don't say what stage the case had reached when she realized this. You don't say that he was convicted, yet you say he has a probation officer and needs an appeal. Please re-submit your question with a clearer explanation of what has happened.
