Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
My son was involved in the second of two crimes. Four juveniles total, two of which stole a master key to a school. This crime happened a couple of hours before all four boys went back to the school and entered multiple classrooms. The juvenile court told me that my son(meaning me) has to pay to rekey the school. My son was not at the school when the keys were stolen, but was there when they trespassed.Does his involvement in the second crime make him legally and fiscally responsible for the rekeying of the school?
Thank You

A criminal has to pay restitution to his part of his involvement of the crime where there is harm. The court found him liable in part so yes he has to pay.
