Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

my sons father took a plea bargain for 3 years domestic violence the DA threw in a 10 yr. no contact order between my sons father and I. I don't want the no contact order and he doesn't either, he said he took the deal to be with his family. how can we see about getting this lifted? or will they never allow us to be together again 10 yrs is a long time.All we want is our family back together we want to be able to seek counseling not just be torn apart. please someone help we want our family to be able to be together again.

You will need to have his attorney go to court and file a motion to modify probation, regarding the stay away order. You may need to appear as well. The court may modify the condition to a "do not annoy, harass or molest" order. He will need to show he is in domestic violence counselling.
