Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
Speeding ticket and pacing
I recieved a ticket in Barstow California on the way to LA. The way the police judged my speed was by pacing me. I was wondering if this way of determining my speed would stand up in court or if I could fight it.
Thanks.

Re: Speeding ticket and pacing
The traditional method of determining the speed of a car is for the police officer to pace the suspected speeder. This method will definitely be accepted by the court.
Beating a speeding ticket is always tough. You can always get a trial date and then tell your story. If you intend to fight it get some help, either reading a good book or talking to an attorney.
You may want to consider traffic school.
