CA Penal Code Section 211 defines robbery as a felonious taking of personal property in the possession of another, from his person or immediate presence, and against his will, accomplished be means of force or fear.
CA Penal Code 213 States that the punishment for robbery is time in state prison. Therefore strong arm robbery is a felony.
