Statitory limitations
What is the statue of limitations on a non-violent dirst degree residential burglary where the suspect is not known? How long to they have to commence prosecution on that crime?

If they have your DNA, they could have already filed charges in the name of "John Doe with DNA pattern XXXX" and you would then be subject to prosecution when and if they are able to put your DNA (or fingerprints) together with your true identity, without any time limit. Time to take up another line of work.
