statuate of limitations

i was arrested for accessory

after the fact.When i went to court the DA said he wasn't going to file on me at this time,so the judge exonerated my bail.Can the DA still file on me and if so how long does he have to do this?

As a general rule misdemeanors have a one year statute of limitions, and after being dismissed generally cannot be refiled. Felonies generally have a 3 year statute of limitations, however ther are numerous exceptions to this general rule.
