Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

I would like to know is there a statue of limitations on domestic violents case . 6months goes by and no papers were ever served. no warrent ever issued.

You won't be out of the woods until a least a year goes by. You can always call the DA's office and find out of the case has been rejected. If it's a minor DV and you have not been arrested yet, good chance they did not file it.
