Does California have any Statute of Limitations

for failure to appear?

Filing the complaint stops the statute of limitations from running.

If you do not appear in court as required on the citation or order of the court, a bench warrant would be issued. There is no statute of limitations on the bench warrant.

Depending on the circumstances you may have a defense under the constitutional provision for a speedy trial. You should discuss the matter with an attorney.
