statute of limitations
i was intrested in finding out how long a criminal with just a probation officer can abscond and what the statue of limitation is,and if a criminal escapes from a police officer before etting arrested and there is no proof that this person commited a crime and it has been a year or more is this person safe

There are different statutes depending on the alleged charge (i.e. murder has no statute, rape is 7 years, etc.) What do you mean if a person only has a probation officer? If one is assigned a probation officer, a charge has already been filed and dispoed. Please explain exactly what you are asking and the surrounding circumstances.
