statutory rape

i'm trying to get medicare for my son, his mother is not in the picture and did not put my name on the birth certificat because she was under 18 at the time and I was not. would this be a problem when aplying for medicare?

If you have a problem getting medicare because your name is not on the birth certificate, you can file a paternity case and get a court order that you are the father.
