Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

Hi Steve!

You answered the question for me about the 21 year old H&S 11378 felony charge.You mentioned that some research would need to be done to find out what the code section was back in 1989. How would I go about finding that information? I want to know in advance that there's a chance to reduce or clear this felony, before I start spending money I really don't have waste. First, you need to be a criminal lawyer in order to possess the tools and resources that I do. Then you figure out how to find the statute as it was written in 1989. I've looked at one of my resources. It only goes back to 1995. (And it was not reducible in 1995, but that doesn't really resolve the question.)
