Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
I got stopped at Ross Store, for merchandise i forgot to pay for, i did not shoplift they made me sign a paper, now i got this legal letter asking for $400 within 25 days. What are my options. Can i fight it, or i would just have to pay.

Of course you shoplifted. You signed a confession. Pay up and pray they don't have you arrested.

"I forgot to pay" is not a winning defense to a shoplifting charge.
