Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

Three Strikes Your Out Law

my cousin is facing 25 to life right now due to the three strikes your out law. i was wondering if a person can be sentenced to this if the 3 strikes were all committed in the same act, and he/she had no priors? they're tring to get him for murder, carjacking, and robbery, if you could provide me with any information on this, it would be a great help.

thank you
