Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

Subpoenaed as witness for DV against bf I dont want to testify.Were involved in other activities as well and dont want to incriminate myself(don't know if authorities know or not yet).Also,when I went to the police I was very intoxicated and dont recall all I said.P olice wouldnt let me drive so they knew I was drunk.Whats gona happen if I dont recall a lot of my statements?Can I plead the 5th.Can I check into a mental hospital(suicidal&homicidal) to postpone having to go to court tomorrow? Bf is looking at 25-life due to past record.He's charged w 422, 245(A)1, 243 (E)1, 496 D, 417 (A)2. I never meant for it to get so out of hand and he doesnt deserve what they are trying to give him.
