Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

What's a latter from the superior court.

You mentioned a latter. What is

that? What could happen to me? I

goto college in Michigan and am back

in CA for the summer. Would I have

to appear? Also, even though I was

with minors and a minor girl and

picked her up I didn't commit a

crime? She is friends with me and

my neighbors, and me and her would

never be more than friends nor

would we ever do anything sexually.

I also forgot to mention that when

the cops first arrived they put me in

cuffs. Then about a minute later

removed them and never read me

my rights or anything so was I

officially arrested. 10 minutes after

the ordeal, the cops let me walk

home with my alcohol. I guess the

girl couldn't get a hold of her parents

until 4 hours later that night. Then

at 5 am the cops come to my house

and let me know that she got home

alright, and said there would be repercussions and left.

Re: What's a latter from the superior court.

You misread my prior answer. There is no such thing as "a latter". I said "latter" as in the opposite of "former". Of the two options I described, the second (or latter) seemed more likely. The first (or former) seemed less likely.

You should not be talking about this incident with anyone but an attorney. Especially do not talk to the police and the girl or her family.
