suspended Ca. Lic. Case

I was pulled over in Los Angeles(Beverly Hills) I had a at the time valid drivers Lic. I just had it renewed the year before the office told me Lic was suspened and that there were six warrents for my arressted ranging from 1995 to 2004 I believe. I have taken care of all but two of them one from 2004 and the one in beverly hills I can not get my Lic because there is an outstanding judgement from one of the cases my case a public defender had the 2004 case held over for 30days for me to try to get my LIc I am unemployed and can't pay the fee what should I do I am trying to not service any jail time for this and trying to take care of it to get it behind me and over with

Sounds like you might have a pretty good reason why you did not know your license was suspended in which case your current case could be defended. At any event, I do not believe jail is likely. They will probably give you some time to get your license.

I would call the DMV/Driver Safety mandatory actions in Sacramento and go over with them in detail to see what prevents you from getting your license, what you need to do and what your options are. A lawyer would be very helpful here but it does not look like you can afford one at the moment.

It sounds to me like you might want to speak with your public defender and find out if they will assist you with the entire situation. If they can not help, I would suggest contacting one of the local law schools close to you and finding out if they have a program in which law students under the supervision of attorneys assist the community population in situations like this. Some law schools have clinics where students work as certified student attorneys and help people who can not afford attorneys with legal matters. Good luck.
