Taking back my guilty plea

I entered a plea of guilty on friday because my public defender scared me into doing so. She told me if I didn't the DA would be filing more charges. Which is unture. She told me that I wouldn't be so pretty when I got out of jail. I plead guilty to a crime that I didn't commit to avoid jail but instead I now have a 90 day work program and 3 years formal probation. I feel like if I went to trail and my witnesses and evidence were finally put out there I would not be found guilty. Is there any way to take back my guilty plea and not take the deal I already signed to? I feel like I was mislead and since I have never been in trouble before I didn't know what I was getting myself into? What can I do???

You can retain a private lawyer to investigate how you could withdraw your plea. Because you received a probationary sentence and your plea took place just this past Friday, withdrawing it is still technically possible.

Alternatively, you could contact your PD and tell her that you want to withdraw your plea and that it is her duty to assist you in doing so.
