Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
technically i violated the temporary restraining order my ex has on me. I spoke with the detective investigating and explained to her the text message sent was not intended for her. It is clear from the message that it was not. Do you think the D.A will prosecute me?

Since you confessed to the police, yes you will be prosecuted and very possibly convicted of a crime. Get a lawyer. Never again talk to the police.
