Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
A teenage boy was vandalizing property in the campground where I am a camp host. To keep him from getting away I grabbed his bicycle and took it from him(carefully without hurting him) and held it while my girlfriend called the Sheriff. While I had the bike the boy punched me twice and threw a rock hitting me in the head. A friend of the boy went and got the boys father who arrived before the sheriff's and choked me to unconsciousness. The sheriff's finally arrived, called an ambulance which took me to the hospital. The bill is about $12000. Do I have legal recourse against this attack?

Yes you need a personal injury attorney. Hopefully the DA has filed charges and gets a conviction as well
I agree with Mr. Green. Please re-post your question under Personal Injury Law so that more lawyers with the necessary expertise will see it.
Good luck.
I agree with Mr. Green. For you to get your injuries compensated, you should seek out an attorney who handles personal injury matters as soon as possible.
