Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
If someone sent me a text telling me to cease and desist all contact and I followed it,but now a year later I want to contact her,can I get into trouble?

Unless the is a court order prohibiting you from contacting her it is probably not illegal. It does not, however, sound like a very good idea if she went through the trouble of sending you a cease and desist letter. If you do contact her you may find yourself in court responding to a application for a retraining order. You may be better off just moving ahead with your life without her.
