Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
time length
1994 a woman applies for and receives 10 month welfare support for a newborn child. In December 1994, ends welfare financial assistance. Goes back to Mexico for 1 year. Returns to United Staes 1996. In March, 2002, is charged by Social Services for perjury and fraud eight years after the fact. Is there a time frame the State had to initiate prosecution?

Re: time length
Yes there is a time limit. I am curious as to what your lawyers position is on that issue. Surely he/she has looked into it.
Why don't you inquire of your attorney and send me another email.
