time served
my boyfriend was sentenced to 180 days for a felony gun charge, i was wondering how much of that time he will actually serve

He'll do about 2/3 of it, which is roughly 120 days. Depending on the county he's in, there may be early release programs - although depending on the charge, he may or may not be eligible for that.
Once he gets processed, they should tell him his out date. Ask him next visiting day.

For every 3 days he serves, he will get 1 day of credit.
