Re: To Much Time

Thank God the person your son was carjacking didn't carry a gun and use it to kill your son. The juvenile conviction could be a first strike depending on what the crime was. Although the juvenile records are sealed. They are still available for purposes of sentencing. Without looking it up 12 years sounds aobut right. This would of course not be low or mid term. One of the other attorney's answering this will probably know the sentence for this kind of crime. However, prison time is normally served at 50% with credit for good time work time. The time he spent in county jail he got 3 days credit for every 2 days served. If he's on a second strike on this sentence. Then he either serves 70% or 80%. I'm not sure what the enhancement is. From one father to another, your son needs to be out of circulation so he can get control of himself. It's unfortunate that this happened. God bless you.
