The first question is: can they prove the case against him? Will he be convicted? Or can he beat the charge or get it dismissed?
Assuming he does get convicted, he's looking at up to a year in county jail, probation, a restraining order, 52 weeks of mandatory counseling and various fines an fees to the court.
