You have a civil case against the school district and the teacher for several torts including sexual assault and batterey. You would be entitled to general damages (pain and suffering), and, potentially punitive damages. Sexual abuse is also a very serious crime and you as a victim should report the acts to the police so as to protect other minors from also being victimized. Thanks for your posting, and I'm sorry to hear about what you've gone through.

The filing of a lawsuit under your identify can be private, and any trial can be private, through court order (after you ask for privacy), but not because you are a minor, instead because of the nature of the case.

If you report this (I think you mean to the police), they will investigate, and if they believe they have proof of a crime being committed, they will forward it to the D.A. for filing of criminal charges.

A teacher seduced you and is probably doing another young student right now. That new young lady might be a friend of yours, a younger sister or niece. Or just some poor soul that gets trapped like you were, can't take the heat, and kills herself. And you want to know what to do. Because you don't want to have your name published. We'll your name will not be published. It's the policy of newspapers under these circumstances to withhold the name of the victim. The trial will be public but very few people if any go to trials anymore. These kind of cases are not published at all with the victim's name. So you will not be on corut TV. That's so young ladies like yourself don't get scared and not report these crimes.

Since my Mother, three sisters, wife, four daughters, and three granddaughters are all female, and they need to be protected from this kind of teacher, what other reasons do you have to keep you from reporting this crime. You waiting for another sixteen/seventeen years, until your daughter is his student?

Bad people should be punished. It takes good people like you, to take a stand against evil, and report this crime.

This creep needs to be put away for safe keeping. And the ball is in your court. Many police and sheriff's department have female police officer or deputy sheriffs to handle this kind of case, and female deputy D. A.s to prosecute them. Is keeping this democracy safe a man's only job. We've sent our brothers, sons, and male friends into harms way. Certainly a female is capable of the same courage and sacrifice. This is your chance to be a hero. And possibly save some other young lady's life. Maybe someone you love.
