Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
trespassing or more?
I was wondering what climbing onto a school roof and jumping into their pool would be considered. Would it merely be trespassing or would there be more to it. Secondly, what would the statute of limitations be on that action? thanks.

It would be insanity. You would be subject to involuntary psychiatric confinement -- as a danger to yourself or others -- under Section 5150 of the Cal. Welfare & Institutions Code.

In Washington, you could be charged with Reckless Endangerment also, a gross misdemeanor, which carries a penalty of up to one year in jail and $5000 fine. Criminal Trespass has the same penalties. The statute of limitations in Washington for misdemeanors is three years.
