Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
I am a truck driver in Imperial Valley CA and i was pulled over for being overloaded by a CHP.
I was hauling sugarbeets and the officer forced me to physically remove a portion of the beets and dump them on the ground. I then had to return to pick up the beets. i now have alot of pain in my lower back and i would like to know if this is legal.

Aside from the obvious fact that you have a workers compensation case, what were the alternatives. You could have refused but then you would have had to abandon your truck or even have it impounded. The officer was not going to let you drive anywhere in that truck while it was overweight.
