If I understand lyour question, which I may not, based upon fingerprint evidence showing you were involved in a crime, the police entered your residence. Depending on the nature of the crime and how much of a threat they feel you are, they may be able to, after giving a verbal warning, smash open your door. If what they did was illegal, you are only going to be able to suppress the evidence they obtained from the illegal act, or sue them in civil court. Breaking and entering I believe, is a crime done for the purpose of stealing something, so that would not be the correct violation.
