can u prosacute a rapeist after its been 10 years

my fiancee and his brother wee molested and raped(sodomized) by their mothers boyfriend they never went to authorites but now as adults they are scared he may have other victims and even still be hurting children. is there anything they can do?

I take it that the crimes occurred in California? How old are your fiance and his brother now? If they are not yet 28 years old, they could still sue him, though it is a question whether there is any point in doing so. Does he have meaningful assets?

Yes, there is plenty they can do to protect other children. And yes, he is probably doing it to other children now. They should certainly go to police now, so that they will be aware of him and warn parents of children he is getting close to.
