underage dating
my boyfriend and I have been together since he was 15 and I was 16. I am now 18 and he is 17, I want to know if it is ok to continue dating now that I am legally an adult?

Re: underage dating
As far I am aware there is no law against dating a person who is under 18, by a person over 18. However, the law provides that a person under the age of 18 cannot consent to having to sex.
Some law enforcement agencies and district attorney's offices do not prosecute consentual sex when the age difference between parties is less than two or three years. The age difference can vary according to the community in which the parties live.
