Re: don't understand my husbands charges

It really is impossible to accurately determine what kind of final outcome or sentence a defendant may or may not receive. The facts you have provided really do not provide enough information for anyone to even make an intelligent guess at what your husband is looking at. Sentencing in California is very complicated due to the determinate and indeterminate sentencing laws. Misdemeanors convictions can result in a maximum sentence of up to 1 year in the county jail. The court has desecration to run them consecutively or concurrently. As to the felonies with California's triad system it is just to difficult to really provide you with any type of answer.

In your question you stated you wanted to understand the charges against your husband, however you did not state if he had been to trial and been found guilty or what stage the process is at or if he plead guilty to some charges and not others. You both need to speak with an attorney. If you can not afford one the court will appoint a Public Defender. If you are having trouble finding an attorney in your area, contact the local county bar association and ask for a referral. They will put you in touch with some criminal defense attorneys and then you can probably get some answers to your questions. Good Luck
