Can an unsigned copy of a criminal subpoena served on a witness in California be considered effective service?

A blank subpoena is not effective, but I strongly urge you to play it safe and contact the attorney who issued the subpoena to get this worked out.

It depends on what you mean by "unsigned",By you, the person serving the subpoena or the person issuing the subpoena?
