victim of fraud w/ conflict of interest and grand theft

I have a criminal case against an individual employed by a government agency. The govt agency has requested my assistance in internal investigation of employee. Employee is currently under investigation by internal affairs for Conflict of interest, fraud, and grand theft. I have agreed to cooperate. I need a lawyer for my protection,

You have the right to have an attorney represent you. However, if you are only a witness that would probably not be the case.

If you hire an attorney go through the local bar association or get a referal from a trusted friend. then talk to the attorney and get some back ground information.
