Legal Question in Criminal Law in California
Im the victom in a domestic violence case where there was gbi involved. Do I have to testify? They supenoed me and is there any way of getting out of that?

You can discuss your concerns with the prosecutor, but she is unlikely to withdraw the subpoena. If she doesn't, then you will have to testify.

You may ask the prosecutor to release you from the subpoena, but a subpoena is a court order. Disobeying it may expose you to a charge of contempt of court.
