violating restraining order
I have a restraining order on my ex boyfriend. He is now in jail for violating the order by assulting me with a bottle over the face. He has been trying to get me to visit him in jail. i would please like to know if and what degree of trouble i could get in for visiting him in jail. i beleive him and his lawyers are trying to set me up. what do you think?

Why on Earth would you visit someone in jail that you have a restraining order against? And he hit you with a bottle? He doesn't need his atorneys to set you up, it sounds like you can make enough bad decisions for yourself. This isn't a legal issue, it is one of common sense.

If the restraining order only applies to your ex-boyfriend then it is not possible for you to violate it. That said, I agree with Mr. Leiderman that visiting your ex sounds like a very bad idea.
