Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

violation of probation

my fiancee was has a warrant from 97' for failure to keep in contact in santa cruz county. his probation was revoked in august of 97'. my ? is he has had his name ran by the sherrifs multiple times in florida where we are and everytime it comes back that california doesn't want to pick him up on the warrant. 2 days ago the sherrifs dept. in fl brought him in on it and are holdiing him for it. so i wanted to know either how i can find out if they are going to extradite him to california or what they odds are?

There are many explanations that would fit into the fact pattern that you recite here. So it's not possible to answer your question with any certainty. However, a criminal lawyer should be able to find out the answers for you, once the full situation is known to the lawyer.
