Can a potential juror be asked self-incriminating questions during voir dire?

Sure you can ask a prospective juror self-incriminating questions. But the juror doesn't have to answer, and you risk angering the judge and the rest of the jury pool. Better you try to get the topic addressed in the juror questionnaire or, if you have a concern as to one particular juror, you have the voir dire on the sensitive topic done in chambers.
